TITLE: “A promise to the moon”
RECOMMENDED AGE GROUP: Level 1 (1st cycle Primary)
MAIN CHARACTERS: the little sheep, the moon, the
little sheep’s mother.
OTHER CHARACTERS: other animals from the farm, such
us: a horse, a cow, a cat and some ducks.
SYNOPSIS: The main character is a little sheep that
lives in a farm. She lives happily with all the animals, always playing around.
Until one day, the little sheep doesn’t obey her mum and she goes to play too
far away. What will happen to her after that?
MAIN CHARACTER OBJECTIVES
The little sheep: she is very playful. She greets and
talks to all the animals of the farm. But, she doesn’t keep in mind the
important advice of her mum.
The mother of the sheep: she is very worried about the
little sheep. She always shows a loving attitude.
The full moon: she notices the problem of the little
sheep and helps her. She shows wisdom and generosity.
SCENE BREAKDOWN
SCENE 1: It’s a beautiful day in the farm. The little
sheep goes to play and says ‘good morning’ and ‘hello’ to her friends the cow,
the horse and the cat. Then her mother tells her not to go very far to play.
SCENE 2: the little sheep goes to play, but she forgets
what her mother has told her. She goes to play with the ducks. Then, she is distracted
counting the flowers. After that, she goes to the pond to see the fish.
SCENE 3: By the time he wants to come back it is dark
already. She is lost and she doesn’t know the way back home. She starts to cry.
Suddenly, she hears a voice. It is the full moon talking to her. The moon will help the little sheep by giving her a special
light because the moon is full that night. The little sheep makes a promise to
the moon: to obey her mum and not to go so far again.
SCENE 4: The little sheep goes back to her house running
and running. She explains to her mother what has happened and the promise she
has made to the moon. She is very sorry and she will never get lost again.
